Wine tours from Lyon, a chauffeur for the day

The vineyards start twenty-five kilometres from Lyon. The Beaujolais to the north, Côte-Rôtie forty kilometres to the south, Burgundy a little further on: Mâcon, Beaune and Dijon, the last of these two hours five away. We drive, you visit. The chauffeur drops you at each estate, waits for as long as the visit takes and sets off again when you are ready. We do not organise the trip or book the tastings: we handle the road, from Lyon and back.

How the day unfolds, from the first call

Tell us the date, the pick-up address, the estates or villages you want to see and the time you would like to be back. One contact takes the request, reachable twenty-four hours a day. The vehicle is chosen for the number of travellers, the price agreed before departure and given on request.

On the day, the chauffeur collects you in Lyon, at your hotel or wherever you choose. He drives you from one estate to the next, waits through the visits and lunch, then takes the road again when you decide. If a visit runs on, the rest of the day shifts with it: the day is yours, the driving is ours.

THE MOVING PRESTIGE EXPERIENCE

A moment to yourself.

Who it is for: from the Beaujolais to Burgundy

The Beaujolais begins twenty-five kilometres north of Lyon: a half day covers two or three villages. Côte-Rôtie, forty kilometres to the south, fits into a morning, or stretches across the day if you carry on down the Rhône valley. Burgundy asks for a full day: Mâcon, Beaune, then Dijon, two hours five from Lyon.

A couple travels in the E-Class or the S-Class, a family or a small group in the V-Class, up to seven people. For a company outing or a party of visitors, the Sprinter VIP takes fifteen passengers plus a dedicated seat for a guide. A booking starts at three hours, and a full day runs to nine.

What sets the service apart

The Sprinter VIP was built for long days: VIP seats, individual reading lights, a lounge with a work area, a USB socket at every seat and a hold for twelve large suitcases. The other vehicles are recent Mercedes, with Wi-Fi and a bottle of water on board. Allow one piece of luggage each: tell us if you are bringing cases back and we will adapt the vehicle.

The chauffeur wears a suit, speaks French and English, and knows these narrow hillside roads. He drives calmly, without commentary, and leaves the day to you. One contact follows the booking, reachable seven days a week, and an urgent request is set up in under an hour. The rate is a single one, with no weekend surcharge.

The details

What people ask us

Do you book the estate visits and tastings?

No. We handle the driving, not the planning of the trip. You choose the estates and make your own appointments, and we build the day around your times. Send us the programme once it is settled: the chauffeur works out the driving times and the waits from it.

How long should we allow for Burgundy?

A full day. Dijon is two hours five from Lyon by road, with Mâcon and Beaune a little closer. A nine-hour day leaves room for two or three stops and a proper lunch. For the Beaujolais or Côte-Rôtie, a half day is often enough.

Can you collect us from the airport or the station?

Yes. The day can start at Lyon-Saint-Exupéry, at Part-Dieu or at Saint-Exupéry TGV. We track your flight and move the pick-up with the landing. Waiting is included for up to one hour at the airport, counted from the scheduled landing time, and thirty minutes at a station or a hotel.

How many of us can travel together?

Two passengers in the S-Class, three in the E-Class or the GLE 400, seven in the V-Class. The Sprinter VIP goes up to fifteen seats, with an extra seat for a guide. Beyond that, several vehicles leave from the same address and follow the same programme.
