Private chauffeur from Lyon to Megève, all the way to your door

Megève sits at 1,113 m, 212 km and two hours twenty-five from Lyon by road. A Lyon to Megève transfer is prepared the same way as everything else: you give an address, a time and a flight number, we track the landing and move the departure accordingly. The chauffeur meets you on arrival, loads the skis and the cases, and drives you to the chalet or the hotel. The same contact follows the booking, from the first call to the way back.

Getting there: 212 km from Lyon, 2 h 25 by road

From central Lyon, allow 212 km and two hours twenty-five: motorway, then the Arve valley and the climb up to Megève. From Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport the distance drops to 170 km and the drive to two hours ten. Pick-up is at the terminal, timed on your actual landing, with one hour of waiting included counted from the scheduled landing time.

By train, the access station is Sallanches-Combloux-Megève. From there, 13 km and twenty minutes of road remain to the resort. The chauffeur waits on the platform or outside the station, thirty minutes included, and takes the luggage. That last stretch is what decides the arrival: we know it in winter as well as in summer, and we leave Lyon at the time it requires rather than the time that suits a schedule.

THE MOVING PRESTIGE EXPERIENCE

A moment to yourself.

The stay: skis, luggage and your address in Megève

One piece of luggage per person, plus the skis. The V-Class carries seven passengers, the Sprinter VIP fifteen seats and one guide seat. For a family with children, the seats are fitted before departure — just tell us the ages. For a group, several vehicles leave together from the same address and reach Megève together.

We drive to the exact address: a chalet on the Mont d’Arbois side, a hotel in the village, a residence along the Jaillet road. Night arrivals change nothing, your contact stays reachable around the clock. On changeover Saturdays the Arve valley fills up by late morning, so we bring the departure from Lyon forward. The rate stays the same, with no weekend surcharge on private journeys.

The season, and the way back to Lyon

Winter sets the conditions: snow on the last kilometres, proper equipment, and a margin on the schedule rather than a gamble. The vehicles are equipped for the mountain, and the chauffeur checks the state of the road before setting off. In summer Megève lives differently — the passes, the golf course, the village terraces — and the drive is easier, but the principle does not change.

On the way back we leave the resort at the time your flight requires, not the time that feels reasonable from the chalet. Allow two hours ten to Lyon-Saint-Exupéry, two hours twenty-five to central Lyon or Part-Dieu station, and a margin on top if the valley is busy. We agree the pick-up time together, and the chauffeur is at the door before it.

The details

What people ask us

How long is the drive from Lyon to Megève?

Allow two hours twenty-five for the 212 km from central Lyon, and two hours ten for the 170 km from Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport. The time varies with the season, with traffic in the Arve valley and with the road surface on the final kilometres. The chauffeur adjusts the departure accordingly.

Will the chauffeur wait if my flight is delayed?

Yes. We track your flight and the pick-up moves with the actual landing. Waiting is included for up to one hour at the airport, counted from the scheduled landing time, and up to thirty minutes at a railway station or a hotel. The flight number is all we need.

How many passengers can you take to Megève?

Seven passengers in the V-Class, three in the E-Class or the GLE 400, two in the S-Class, and fifteen seats in the Sprinter VIP with one guide seat. Allow one piece of luggage per person, skis included. For a larger group, several vehicles leave together from the same address.

Can you pick us up at Sallanches station?

Yes. Sallanches-Combloux-Megève is the access station for the resort, with 13 km and twenty minutes of road left to cover. The chauffeur waits as the train comes in, thirty minutes included, and handles the luggage. We also serve Lyon Part-Dieu and Saint-Exupéry TGV stations.
