Long-distance chauffeur in Lyon: France and Italy, door to door

A meeting in Dijon in the morning, a return the same evening, and a flight that goes nowhere without a connection. On journeys like that, the car wins back the advantage: you leave from your own address and arrive at another one, with no station or terminal in between. Moving Prestige has been driving clients across France and Italy for almost thirty years, departing from or heading to the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

How it works, from the first call to the arrival

You call or write with three pieces of information: the pick-up address, the destination address and the time. We check the distance and the real driving time, we suggest the vehicle that suits the number of passengers and bags, then we give you the price. It is agreed before departure. An urgent request is set up in under an hour.

On the day, your chauffeur arrives at the address given, loads the luggage and takes the road. Over a long distance he knows the useful stops and fits them to your pace rather than his own. You work, you take calls or you sleep. If you set off from an airport or a station, the pick-up follows your actual arrival. At the other end he drops you at the door, not in a car park. The same contact stays reachable from the first call to the end of the journey.

THE MOVING PRESTIGE EXPERIENCE

A moment to yourself.

Who travels this way, and in which vehicle

Lyon to Dijon is one of our most requested runs: two hours door to door, no connection, and a working day that holds together. The same reasoning applies to Paris, Marseille, Nice or Turin, and to the Italian valleys that air travel serves badly. When door-to-door beats the train or the plane, the road becomes the simple answer again.

One passenger travels in the E-Class or the S-Class. A family or a small group takes the V-Class, seven seats and one piece of luggage each. For a film crew, a team or a group of fifteen, the Sprinter VIP offers VIP seats, individual reading lights, a lounge with a work area, a USB socket at every seat and a boot for twelve large suitcases. The GLE 400 handles mountain roads in winter.

What sets the service apart on long journeys

Over three hundred or eight hundred kilometres, the comfort of the vehicle stops being a detail. Wi-Fi and a bottle of water on board, a chauffeur in a suit who speaks French and English. The driving is smooth, because that is how a long journey is borne. What is said in the car stays there: discretion has been part of the job for almost thirty years.

Punctuality comes from preparation. We leave with a margin, we follow the state of the road and we tell you if anything changes. One contact follows your booking, reachable twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. On private journeys the rate is a single one: no night, weekend or public holiday surcharge. The price is given on request and agreed before departure.

The details

What people ask us

How far do you go from Lyon?

Anywhere in France and Italy, as long as the journey starts in or ends in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Dijon, Paris, Marseille, Nice, Turin and Milan are driven regularly. Give us the two addresses and the time you want, we check the driving time and come back to you.

Is it better value than the train or the plane?

It depends on the route. On a run like Lyon to Dijon the car wins: two hours door to door, no station and no connection, and you can work along the way. Where the train is direct and fast, we say so. We also drive you to the station or the airport when that is the better choice.

Can we stop along the way?

Yes. On a long journey the breaks are part of the plan and are settled with your chauffeur, at your pace. A lunch stop, an extra call along the route or a detour arranged in advance are all straightforward. Mention it when you book if it changes the itinerary, so the driving time stays accurate.

How much luggage can I bring?

Count one piece of luggage per person. On a long distance, tell us what you are carrying and we choose the vehicle accordingly. The V-Class seats seven, and the boot of the Sprinter VIP takes up to twelve large suitcases. If needed, two vehicles leave together from the same address.
